Privacy Policy

How we handle your personal data, in plain language and in line with the GDPR.

Last updated: 2026-06-17

This privacy policy explains which personal data BITVIRE processes, why we do so and which rights you have. We do not process more data than necessary and never sell your data to third parties.

Who is responsible for your data?

The data controller is BITVIRE, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) established in Gorinchem, the Netherlands. For questions about your privacy you can reach us at info@bitvire.com.

  • Chamber of Commerce number: 97211699
  • VAT identification number: NL005257300B03

Which data do we process?

Contact form

When you fill in the contact form, we process the data you provide yourself: your name, your email address, the subject, your message and (optionally) how you found us. We use this data solely to answer your question and to get in touch with you.

Server logs

Our server keeps technical logs, including your IP address, the requested address and your browser type. This is done to keep the website secure and reliable and to prevent abuse.

Why and on what legal basis?

  • Contact form: to handle your request and to be of service to you. Legal basis: performance of, or steps prior to entering into, a contract and our legitimate interest in responding to your message.
  • Server logs: security and proper functioning of the website. Legal basis: legitimate interest.

How long do we keep your data?

We do not keep contact details longer than necessary. If your message does not lead to an assignment, we generally delete it within 12 months. If a collaboration arises, we keep what is needed for the assignment and for our statutory (administrative) obligations. We keep server logs for a short period, as a rule a few weeks.

Who else processes your data?

To keep the website and the contact form working, we engage a number of service providers (processors):

  • Formspree (Verenigde Staten) verwerkt en bezorgt contactformulier-inzendingen.
  • Hetzner (Duitsland (EU)) hosting van de website.

One of these parties is established outside the European Economic Area. For that transfer, appropriate safeguards apply, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We conclude data processing agreements with our processors.

Cookies

This website does not use tracking or analytics cookies and does not follow you across websites. There is therefore no cookie banner either: we do not place any cookies that require your consent.

Security

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data. The website runs entirely over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access your data;
  • have incorrect data corrected;
  • have your data erased;
  • restrict the processing or object to it;
  • have your data transferred (data portability).

Send your request to info@bitvire.com. We respond within the statutory period. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

Changes

We may amend this privacy policy when our services or the law require it. The current version is always available on this page.
